Following a call for help from Hanane on Facebook: we visited her in her Moroccan shelter on March 30th.

On the spot, we discovered a small shelter with hungry dogs, Hanane no longer has any kibble...

Helpless, Hanane tries to feed them with some dry bread, but this food is very bad for them!

In the last few months, several dogs have died...

She made many calls for help on Facebook to find kibble, but without success....

We promised to try to help her by launching this kibble collection to save her dogs!

1) Slaughtered, victims of violence and hunted, street dogs have a misery life in Morocco ... If the shelter closes, it will be a disaster... We can help Hanane by sending her food for the dogs!

Found in the streets, Toutou was too ill to survive : he died in February...

Attacked by other dogs in the streets, Jacky died last december.

Lana died in February : her tumour was too big... Hanane tried to save her but she spent too much time in the streets alone, there was nothing left to do...

### — 50 dogs are living in the shelter.

50 dogs are welcomed at Hanane's shelter: all have been abused, are seriously ill or disabled. Without hes help, they would not have stood a chance on the streets ...

If Hanane doesn't find a way to pay for all the charges, then all the dogs will go back outside, and there will be no hope to see them alive again ... There are so few shelters in Morocco that it would be impossible to find another place to stay!

2) Last 30th of March, we met Hanane at her shelter in Morocco: there is no dog food left, what are the 50 dogs going to eat?

### — Puppies are weak and won't make it if they don't eat proper food...

### — Most of the dogs welcomed at the shelter are ill, weak or injured : their health state is increased by having nothing else but bread to eat !

### — Bread is used to fill the dogs' stomac...

When we met Hanane, she was giving away her last bag of dog food...

Today she has nothing left to feed the dogs, so she tries to cover their hunger by offering them pieces of bread : this diet is dangerous, we may witness a drama if we don't send them dog food quickly...

3) Hanane is fighting by herself: despite lots of crying for help she doesn't receive enough donations... Without money, no way she can buy dog food!

The association is often crying for help for dog food...

Hanane always reminds her donors that without their help she has no help at all !

Fundraising money on Internet is not enough : Hanane is struggling to find money for the shelter...

Lots of people abandon their dogs at Hanane's shelter, and then never come back...

Everyday, Hanane is asking for help ! As she doesn't receive any state subsidy and is not supported by any foundation, she has no other choice but to ask donations from people on the Internet. Unfortunately, despite the generosity of the donors, it is not enough to cover all the expenses necessary to manage the shelter ...

4) The association's financial situation is a disaster: in 2 months, Hanane will no longer be able to pay the rent, she can no longer sterilize the dogs either ... How can she buy food to feed the dogs?

### — The association has no money to neuter the dogs... So they have to deal with new puppies being born at the shelter.

### — Because of a lack of money, the volunteers cannot go to the veterinary clinic each time a dog is ill. They are trying to do it themsleves...

### — The shelter is in bad shape and the dogs have to live in the dirt...

As the association can not pay the rent, feed the dogs and take care of them at the same time, it is unfortunately necessary to make choices and prioritize the situations ... Hanane has therefore made the choice to continue paying the rent as much as she could , to prevent the 50 dogs from finding themselves again in danger in the street.

To avoid the proliferation of diseases, all the dogs in the shelter are vaccinated, but Hanane did not have themoney to neuter them all.

Finally, she buys dog food with the few donations she receives, but is often in the current situation: while waiting for more donations, dogs will eat bread...

5) If the collection fails, dogs won't receive anything

We can swing into action, we have already booked a truck and pallets, but we have to pay it before April X 2019.

If the collection fails, we will not be able to pay, the departure of the truck will be cancelled and none of the collected kibbles will be delivered...

If the collection fails, we will refund all donors.

6) To save all the dogs we were happy to meet, as well as the other ones, we must send dog food to Hanane!

### — Born with mental disorders, Platon has troubles walking... He would not have survived outside the shelter! Today he has to eat proper food to grow up healthily ...

### — Hit by a car, Linda had surgery and has been saved thanks to Hanane !

### — Roky had to be operated after being beaten by homeless ... She needs some proper food to recover!

7) Despite all the difficulties, Hanane is not loosing faith!

### — Hanane dedicates her life to the dogs!

Although she has very little support, Hanane continues to hope and does her best to bring the best to the shelter's dogs.

Nevertheless, she is tired of fighting today: she told us that she was afraid of not being able to continue to manage the shelter if she does not find dog food very quickly ...

8) Rejected and exterminated, Moroccan street dogs live on probation...

The outcome of a mass-killing campaign in Morocco...

With an estimated population of around 2 million street dogs, Morocco has been carrying out mass slaughter operations at regular intervals for decades.

Dogs are poisoned with strychnine, or shot with a gun, usually in the spring: before the arrival of tourists, or any other important international event.

"For 40 years, we've been killing, poisoning, slaughtering. I know there are many stray dogs, but it is not aneffective solution, unfortunately it only increases the problem"

9) What will the 4200 kg collected be used for?

The 4200 kg will be used to feed the 450 dogs hosted at the shelter, and the 40 street dogs fed by Mihaela.
