1) In Romania, Gabriela no longer has kibble to feed her 140 disabled dogs... Here are some of the dogs that will die of hunger if we don't do anything!
"I receive everyday calls to save dogs, and if I see a helpless dog in the street I never hesitate to take him with me, no mater what it will cost me... This is why I also welcome 40 dogs at home. But what will they all become if they don't get food?" told us Gabriela, worried about her dogs' state of health...
2) Koru was violently hit, despite Gabriela's care he is very weak, he will probably be the first one to die when there will be no kibble left...
"I just save Koru a few days ago: he is only 3 years old, and his owner hit him because his barking was too loud... I did my best to save his eyes, in vain... For now he is completely blind, I hope that he will be better soon" told us Gabriela, scared by so much violence.
3) Tedy will have to be amputated from his two bak legs, he is so vulnerable that without kibble, he will one of the first ones to die of hunger...
"I found Tedy on a parking spot. In addition to get him amputated from his two back legs, he also has important burn marks all over his body" told us Gabriela.
4) Overwhelmed by so many expenses, Gabriela can no longer afford to buy kibble, she can't even pay for her vet debts...
"My savings are dried out, I desperately need help. However, I will keep fighting for their lives because I love my life, and I love my dogs!" told us Gabriela.
5) Gabriela is not asking for money, she only wishes to receive enough kibbles to save her dogs' life... This collection is her last hope!
"I feel guilty, I would like to offer a better life to my dogs and feed them with a better food, but I can't..." says Gabriela, sadden by this situation...
6) If this collection succeeds, Animal Webaction will deliver kilos of kibble to Gabriela : they will feed dogs from the shelter, they will be saved!
Animal Webaction owns a logistics platform in Romania, as soon as the collection succeeds, the kibble will be delivered to Gabriela's shelter.
7) However, if we don't reach the target, the collection will fail, the dogs won't receive any kibble: it already happened on Animal Webaction...
When a collection fails, Animal Webaction won't be able to buy the products, nothing will be delivered and all donors will get their money back.
8) The only association supporting Gabriela can no longer help. Gabriela is afraid that the collection might fail, because she won't be able to feed her 140 dogs... This is her last hope.
"When a dog gets adopted, a new spot is available at the shelter to save another one in need: each adoption gives me hope because it means two dogs get saved! Unfortunately it is rare to find families that agree to adopt disabled dogs..." said Gabriela, desperate to see how many more disabled dogs appeared this past year.
9) The main issue in Romania is that is it hard to find sponsorships to buy kibble, there is no foundation, no grant. Lots of dogs are dying in the streets without anyone looking...
