Grizou's hooves were so badly damaged that he couldn't stand up!

1. He was in a pitiful state as his owner wasn't taking care of him...

Grizou is an 18-year-old donkey that we rescued in 2019. In Kosovo, where he was before, his owner didn't take care of him at all: he was very thin and not even vaccinated!

2. His hooves were so badly damaged that he could not stand up!

When he arrived a few months ago, Grizou's hooves were so damaged that he could not walk or even stand up! Although he is now starting to get better, he is still very weak and needs to build up his muscles again.

3. We don't have any more pellets to help him gain weight and rebuild his muscles

Grizou not only needs pellets to regain strength, but also to regain weight and muscle.

This is the only way for him to be able to continue his progress in order to stand up and move around normally. Without it, we fear that his health will be heavily impacted!

4. We are overwhelmed!

With nearly 350 donkeys to feed every day, we are completely overwhelmed: there is still not enough grass in the meadows and we can't find any pellets in store because of the lockdown. Only hay remains, but our sickest equids can't live on it (some of them can't even eat it!).
