1. He was in a pitiful state as his owner didn't take care of him...

Nanou is a 25-year-old donkey that we rescud in 2019. In Kosovo, where he was before, his owner did not take care of him at all: he was very thin and not even vaccinated!

2. His hooves were so badly damaged that he could not stand up!

When he arrived a few months ago, Nanou's hooves were so damaged that he could not walk or even stand up! Although he is now starting to get better, he is still very weak and needs to regain muscle mass.

3. We don't have any pellets left to help him put on weight and build up his muscles again

Nanou not only needs pellets to regain strength, but also to regain weight and muscle.

This is the only way for him to be able to continue his progress in order to stand up and move around normally. Without it, we fear that his health will be heavily impacted!

4. We are overwhelmed!

With nearly 350 donkeys to feed every day, we are completely overwhelmed: there is still not enough grass in the meadows and we can't find any pellets in store because of the lockdown. Only hay remains, but our sickest equids can't live on it (some of them can't even eat it!).
