Galopa is a 27-year-old donkey that we rescued a few months ago. His owner was seriously ill and could no longer take care of him. When we took him in, he was thin and very weak...

2. His hooves were so badly damaged that he couldn't walk!

When he arrived some time ago, Galopa's hooves were so badly damaged that he could neither walk nor even stand upright! He is just starting to be able to stand up, but he continues to see the vet every week, because he is still not well at all...

3. We're out of pellets to help him gain weight and build muscle

Galopa not only needs pellets to regain strength, but also to regain weight and muscle.

This is the only way for him to be able to continue his progress to stand up and move around normally. Without it, we fear that his health will be heavily impacted!

4. We are overwhelmed!

With nearly 350 donkeys to feed every day, we are completely overwhelmed: there is still not enough grass in the meadows and we can't find any pellets in store because of the lockdown. Only hay remains, but our sickest equids can't live on it (some of them can't even eat it!).
