Marcel is sick and hasn't got any teeth left to chew...

1. He is considerably weakened by an illness...

Marcel is suffering from leukemia, a disease that gradually destroys his immune system. He is thinner, weakened and begins to be anaemic. We are giving him iron, as well as a daily anti-inflammatory treatment, in the hope of alleviating his suffering.

2. He had to have all his teeth removed!

As Marcel's gums were very inflamed, we had to take him to the vet to have all his teeth removed. While this probably relieved him, he can no longer eat kibble.

3. We are out of food pouches to enable him to take his medication

To alleviate his pains, Marcel must take medicines, which we can only give him in food pouches.

Moreover, it is the only food that can enable him to regain strength on a daily basis, since he has no more teeth to chew the kibbles. Unfortunately, we're almost out of pouches!

4. We are on the verge of closing down!

Since January, we have had many veterinary bills to pay, which have unexpectedly encroached on our budget. Today, we have no more money and only very meagre stocks of food for our animals... Our association is at its lowest point!
