1. In France, Valéria doesn't have any more pellets for her 21 horses !

"Our 21 horses and ponies need care and pellets (not counting all our chickens and rabbits!). Because of the terrible weather this winter, there is no grass in the meadows. Fortunately, we managed to get some hay, but many horses can't make do with it.»

2. Like Candy, several horses suffer from health issues, they absolutely need pellets

"Many of our equids are in poor health and need adequate nutrition. Candy, for example, was suffering from serious respiratory problems (she has emphysema). Usually we give her ribboned hay that is green and free of mould. But since we can no longer afford to buy it, she absolutely needs pellets: if she doesn't get healthy food, she may have trouble breathing and may die. Because of the confinement and the lack of financial income, Candy is in great danger! »

3. For the association, the confinement is catastrophic and worsens an already problematic financial situation!

"With the quarantine, we have seen an increase in the abandonment of animals: cats, dogs, and even horses and ponies have been left without care or sufficient food, left to fend for themselves. An entire herd of cattle has been abandoned in the open field, with no access to the barn: some cows have died in giving birth...

We regret to note that the health crisis seems to have been the trigger for many negligent and bad actions. Despite all our good will, we will not be able to save all these animals without help!"

4. Valeria does not wish to receive any money, only pellets to feed her horses during the confinement period.

"For now, the priority is getting pellets. Receiving them would be a huge support for the association: we would have enough to feed our horses for several weeks! Candy and the most fragile horses would thus be saved".

5. Animal Webaction can still deliver pellets, but we have to be quick, transport can be stopped overnight!

6. Workshops and calls for donations have been cancelled, the association has no more money coming in.

"No collections or calls for donations are possible until further notice. We have no more money coming in! The workshops we were organizing with school groups have been cancelled until June, due to school closures. On top of that, no more collections are possible in supermarkets: there too, all our dates have been cancelled. To add to our misfortune, sponsorships have been put on hold: it's more than three months of money coming in that are going up in smoke with the confinement! »
