Calliopée is a cat that we found in a box with her babies, abandoned in front of the headquarters of our association. When we found her, she was particularly thin. Her former owners did not fed her enough!
Since she can eat her fill, Calliopeia has become bulimic: she eats at full speed without being able to stop and then starts to vomit.
According to the veterinarian, it's an anxiety problem. Calliopée is indeed very nervous and very agitated all the time. So we have some drops to give her to soothe her, but it is complicated for her to take them .
With food in pouches, we would have less difficulty in giving Calliopeia her drops (we could put them directly in her bowl). Unfortunately, we can no longer afford this type of food!
Usually, a second-hand shop allows us to generate funds for our association, to buy food for our animals. But with the confinement, like many businesses and public places, we had to close... So we have no more money coming in!
