1) Daniela is running out of kibble to feed her 600 dogs, if no one does anything, they'll starve to death!
“I urgently need dog food, the last food bill is not paid, the situation is desperate, please with all my heart, I am desperate, I cannot keep them without food.
I have a lot of debts already because I always try to provide food to my dogs and I cannot even think about the situation of not having enough food for them. My association is in a part of the country that is isolated from the rest of the nearby cities. It is very difficult to go into towns now and asking for donations because the streets of the cities are empty of people and that affects the dogs.”
2) New dogs are being abandoned everyday because of the pandemic. If she doesn't find kibble, Daniela will have to stop rescuing them!

"With the pandemic, the street dogs are even more numerous. Every week I receive calls from people who tell me that their dogs have given birth to puppies. They tell me they cannot keep so many dogs in their homes and they want to drop them somewhere.
I travel everyday to rescue dogs and it's difficult. If they don’t find food, they become aggressive with the people who try to rescue or to help them and they also can die on the streets.
I only take care of the sick dogs or problematic dogs already, because I cannot handle all the dogs by myself."
3) Rescued a couple of weeks ago, Ogarstill bears the marks of her abuse. Daniela needs to find kibble to help her recover!
"Ogar's owners abandoned her and threw her in the trash. When we found her, both her front legs were broken, her temperature was over 39° celsius. Seeing the multiple wounds on her body, it's very clear that she was repeatedly abused by her owners. We took her to the vet, she's having a good recovery at the moment, considering the torment she went through"
4) Daniela is in a lot of debt, she can no longer afford to buy kibble!
"My debts are increasing from month to month. I am helpless because most of the time I take care by myself of all the activity. I am a single person who has limited resources and I have to take care of the dogs health, their food, their transportation to the veterinary, I rescue them from the streets, I don’t have time to do all the things that are necessary to do.
It is impossible to face the situation alone because there are so many dogs. I am trying to do my best all the time, but I need support."
5) Daniela isn't asking for money, she only wants kibble to keep the dogs from starving
"I think I was born with the love for animals. Since I was a child, I grew up with animals and I loved them. I don’t have any children and I think this is the reasoon why my love for dogs is so powerful. I invest all my time and resources in growing the dogs and I don’t regret any moment.
I feel angry on the people who abandon dogs on the streets, pretending that they are not able to take care of them. I think most of the time the people is very selfish and they don’t want to share with this beautiful creatures what they have. I understand the situation of poor people, but I don’t understand the situations when people try to hurt animals.
The mentality of the people is very different in Romania and the people don't love the animals like I do. I think most people doesn’t understand how I can take care of so many dogs in my house, but I truly love them and I want their best."

7) Daniela is lacking support to feed her 600 dogs, she doesn't know how to handle the situation
"I think people don’t make donations because they don’t have money in this pandemic situation. Also, I think that our association is not promoted enough and the people doesn’t know anything about our institution.
With all the responsibilities I have, I can’t take care of the social media pages too, because it takes a lot of time and I need to invest that time in resolving real problems, like taking them to the veterinary. Please help me to go on and fed Mariuta NGO rescued animals"
8) If this campaign is successful, ONG Mariuta will not receive any money but 3600 kg of kibble will be delivered from the Animal Webaction logistic platform in Romania.
When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The organizer doesn't receive anything and the buyers are reimbursed.
9)In Romania, it is difficult to find funding for kibbles, there is no aid, no grant, no foundation... Many abandoned dogs die alone on the street, in complete indifference...

11) Containment measures did not allow us to visit the shelter to prepare this campaign.
Due to the current health crisis, Romania is currently under lockdown. As travel has been drastically reduced and controlled, it was impossible for us to visit Daniela to organise this campaign
However, Animal Webaction visited Daniela's shelter only a few months ago. We have been in close contact with her for almost 2 years (she has allowed us to prepare this campaign), and we have full confidence in her.
