Because of a chronic disease, Catchou has very bad gums and can no longer eat...

1. He has cat AIDS!

Catchou has tested positive for FIV, the cat AIDS: his immune defences are not as strong as his fellow cats', which makes him very vulnerable to viruses and diseases.

2. His gums are very inflamed...

Catchou suffers from a large chronic gingivitis: permanently inflamed, his gums put him through a lot of pain. Because of that and as he can't chew anymore, it's impossible for him to eat kibbles!

We're giving him a treatment, in hopes of soothing the pain a little bit.

3. Food pouches would allow him to continue eating without suffering too much.

Easy to ingest, pouched food would be just right for Catchou: he could eat it without having to chew. Its gums would thus be preserved. We could also take advantage of it to give him his medication more easily.

4. Our finances are at an all-time low...

Quarantine accentuated the abandonment phenomenon: we had to collect several new cats. On top of that, our liquid assets are very low. Many sick cats need their treatment, but we don't have enough funds to buy everything!
