Emilie has health problems because she was fed exclusively on bread!

1. Her former owners used to give her unsuitable food!

Emilie is a 10 year old mare that we collected following a seizure at the end of 2019. Unfortunately, her former owners only gave her bread as food.

Bread, given in too large quantities, can be very bad for the horses' health...

2. Because of this, she developed health concerns...

Because of this unbalanced and unsuitable diet, Emilie developed problems with her hooves and hair: her hooves and coat were damaged when she arrived.

3. With pellets, she would finally have a healthy and balanced diet.

Although we have since managed to stabilise Emilie's condition, we must ensure that she receives a strictly balanced diet, such as pellets. Otherwise, her health could deteriorate again.

4. We're a nervous wreck!

With the quarantine, the stop of our activity deprived us of funds. Today, we are struggling to bounce back: we only have enough to last about ten days with our current food stocks!
