Animal Webaction visited the site 22 June 2020 and confirms the situation described below.

Animal Webaction cannot be held responsible for dog deaths due to the absence of kibble.

1. In Romania, Alina and Anda no longer have kibble to feed the 250 dogs in their shelter. If no one intervenes, they will starve to death!

"Lack of food makes dogs more aggressive and stressed. We give them bread but it is not a long term solution because it is very bad for their health!

We are afraid that because of the lack of kibble, the dogs become more aggressive with us but especially with each other, that they suffer from hunger and that this also means taking them to the vet, resulting in extra costs when we can't afford it . It's an endless circle, we can't get out of it..."

2. Because of the quarantine, the number of abandonments has exploded: the shelter is saturated, Alina and Anda can't buy kibble for all the dogs!

###

"The main reason we can no longer run the shelter on our own is that we are overwhelmed with newcomers. Lately, because of the confinement, it seems that people are abandoning more and more animals every day, and we already don't have enough staff for all the animals we take in....

In our shelter, the dogs live in packs, so it is difficult to integrate new animals among them without them getting hurt... Moreover, as we don't have enough money to pave the ground, every time it rains, the ground becomes muddy, and the dogs are even more aggressive!

Unfortunately, if we leave the dogs outside then they don't have any chance to get out... We can't leave them in the street!"

3. Pomber has just arrived at the shelter: without kibble, he won't recover from his injuries...

###

"Pomber was abandoned three months ago. He was a ball of tangled hair, could barely walk and had to be put to sleep so they could cut his hair. He had pain and an infected wound in his back. In 3 weeks the wound was healed.

He has an appointment for an MRI and then to see an eye specialist because he can't see very well. He's bumping into random objects, so he can't move around under supervision He's still very fragile, he needs to be properly nourished to regain his strength..."

4. The pandemic has paralyzed the two women: alone, over-indebted, they no longer have any way to buy kibble...

"At the moment, the main problem is the lack of food, but also the fact that one of our employees has left: we now have even more work for fewer people, which makes our day-to-day life much more complicated.

As the pandemic is still going on around the world, we have fewer donations and fewer people adopting dogs.

Lately, things have been going much worse than before. We're in debt to vets, we're constantly running out of food, we don't have time to take the dogs to the doctor, and we're also running out of money for petrol to bring new dogs to the shelter and transport them from one place to another."

5. Alina and Anda don't ask for money, only kibble to feed their dogs!

"This shelter is our daily life, it allows us to save dogs from a life of misery, to give them hope for a better life. We do our utmost to find them a family, to see them happy at last is our main motivation.

The problem is that while waiting to find a home for them, we have to feed them, take care of them, take care of them? It's a daily pain to see that we can't get by."

6. If this campaign is successful, Georgiana will not receive any money but 3600 kg of kibble will be delivered from the Animal Webaction logistic platform in Romania.

Animal Webaction has a logistic platform in Romania, which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibbles.

7. Because of the pandemic, Alina and Anda are even more isolated than before, despite their many cries for help...

"People don't donate to associations like ours anymore. Lately, because of the virus, the few people who used to help us have even completely stopped donating to us...

We still have 5000 euros left to pay to the vet: we can't buy kibbles! I'm sure help will come anyway. We have to keep hope! "

8. Actions launched on Animal Webaction often fail...

9. In Romania, it is difficult to find funds for kibbles, there are no aid, no grants, no foundation... Many abandoned dogs die alone in the streets, in complete indifference...
