1. In Bosnia, the 109 dogs at Samira's shelter don't eat their fill because of a lack of kibble. They won't make it through the winter if no one intervenes!
"They are eating the cheapest dog food on the market, and there is not enough of it. I can only use 4 bags per day, getting food is so difficult, so I have to make it last as long as possible. It is far too little for 109 dogs. Most of them have diarrhea, parasites and signs of dehydration.
It is really hard to keep on, I'm afraid for the winter that is coming. Dogs will need even more to eat... Our shelter is pretty far in the woods, even in good days, most people do not want to drive there. Over the winter we have a lot of snow, you can't reach us by car then. I have to have food in stock before that, but I just don't know how.
I am really worried. Situation is already not great, but with a food shortage dogs will become agressive, I'm afraid I will have to let them on the street., which is unbearable."
2. Smoki narrowly survived the pound and parvovirosis, but is now threatened by the lack of kibble.
"Smoki is barely 2 years old, he was rescued as a puppy with his three brothers and sisters from the pound of Prača, without their mother. He was suffering from parvo, in a terrible state, and was vomiting blood.
He survived, but not having good food is a risk to his immune system, and he also suffers from an eye condition that could worsen. I do not have money for the surgery it requires."
3. Samira has already sacrificed everything for these dogs, she has no resources to buy kibbles, and is overwhelmed with worry.
"My husband and I give everything we have for the dogs. We live in the woods, far from civilization, it's difficult. Today, my husband left to spend the day cutting wood for another villager to earn 15 euros...
There is still a big drop in donations, a lot of my donors were left without a job during the pandemic, or companies are not able to donate anymore.
I cannot sleep very often, this situation makes me depressive, I have a high blood pressure, my health suffers from all of this, and we are not even in winter which is always the thoughest time of the year."
4. Samira is not asking for any money, only kibble to keep the dogs from starving.
"A couple of years ago, I had very difficult 4 surgeries and by chance I survived. The doctor says that I called the dog in my sleep. And that is pure love for animals, especially dogs because they are the most endangered. They are my hairy children.
The dogs are not living bad with me, they have lots of freedom, love and care. But it is so hard for me to not be able to gather enough food for the dogs, to not be able to give them even one good quality and complete meal. I am so grateful to whoever wants to help us."
5. If this campaign succeeds, Samira will not receive any money but 1920 kg of kibbles, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistic platform in Bosnia.

"The situation with the pandemic is normalized, but still the country is fighting it. There is still little donations, everyone is still cautious and not willing to help during this time.
