1) In Serbia, Kristina can no longer buy kibble for the 395 dogs in her shelter. They will starve if nobody does anything!
"Two employees are not enough to take care of 400 dogs: we are here day and night, we don't even have a day off, we work constantly! The city doesn't help us, people donate less and less... I confess that I am frustrated and sad, all we want is to offer a second chance to these dogs, but without kibble it's impossible.
The dogs are currently eating kibble, but our stock is coming to an end, we don't have any solutions to buy more. That's why we need your help..."
2) It is already cold in Serbia! Without kibbles, the dogs will not survive the winter...
"It's getting colder every day and dogs need more care and food to stay healthy. Sick dogs also need more food to heal and recover.
Winter is also very difficult for these dogs. They may not be fed regularly and they may get sick, they will become nervous and try to fight each other, or worse, they will freeze to death!"
3) Abandoned in a terrible state, Dary will need kibble to survive!
"Dary was abandoned in the middle of nowhere. She was malnourished and full of parasites. Her condition was not good, but she is getting better and better, thanks to care and good nutrition. She needs a lot of food and some medicine to fully recover, but we are running out of kibble...".
4) Kristina has no more money to buy kibbles, donations are getting scarcer and scarcer and the shelter keeps filling up...
"Because of the pandemic, there are more and more dogs to save and donations are not enough. We don't get enough support from the city, so we don't have anyone to rely on. Yet we try to get help wherever we can and sometimes, when that fails, we use our own money to buy kibble or medicine.
We were hopeful that after the pandemic, we would receive more and more donations, but it's getting worse and worse...
It's an everyday struggle. We are trying to keep our heads high and hope that we will get some much needed help. Unfortunately there are less and less adoptions, the shelter is saturated and we need more kibble than usual...".
5) Kristina isn't asking to receive any money, only kibbles to keep the dogs from starving.
"I joined a team of volunteers around 2007 to help set up the shelter. At the time, the animals were not well cared for and they were malnourished. We helped build kennels for the dogs and took care of the animals. I saw that the dogs needed love and care, it was heartbreaking to see that they didn't have it.
I stayed, even when there were no more volunteers and everyone had quit.... Today, an employee and I take care of all the dogs. I try to take care of them as best I can and cover them with love!"
6) If this campaign succeeds, Kristina will not receive any money but 2400 kg of kibbles, delivered from Animal Webaction's logistics platform in Serbia.

"If we don't get the help we need, we won't be able to feed the dogs properly. Dogs need this food to stay alive and healthy. It is especially important that they have enough food in the winter because it is the most important thing for their health. If they don't eat enough, they will get sick and may even fight with each other.
We feel unhappy and heartbroken. We don't have many gifts coming to us and we desperately need them. Dogs deserve more love and recognition. We don't give up! We will always fight for the rights of these animals and try to find them a loving home no matter what!"
