1. In Romania, Maria will soon be out of kibble to feed the 275 dogs at the shelter. They will starve if nobody intervenes!

"Things have been difficult since the start of the pandemic, and they got worse over the past few weeks. My husband Ferenc had heart surgery and according to the doctors, he will never be able to do this kind of work again. It seems that I am here alone, having to cope with the huge  amount of work connected to taking care of our many dogs.

Being alone with no help, my greatest fear is that I will not be able to feed the dogs for the upcoming months. The weather is getting colder, our dogs will require even more food than usual.

The shelter's food is running extremely low, right now I have food for one day, one day and a half at the most. I cannot buy more dog food now because we have no donations or money. Without your help, I will not be able to feed our dogs. This food campaign is vital for us..."

2. Maria cannot rescue any more dogs, as she doesn't even know how to protect the ones hosted at the shelter from the lack of food!

###

"The current lack of food, resources and manpower is affecting my ability to accept new dogs. If we had a constant supply of food and the guarantee to always have enough, we would gladly accept new dogs, but unfortunately that isn't our reality. It breaks my heart to know there are dogs out there that we cannot help...

Helping these dogs is our main purpose in life, they are everything for us. If we don't find food for our dogs at the shelter and the ones on the streets, it would truly be a disaster. They would lose weight, catch diseases, start being nervous, aggressive, perhaps even die...

If this day arrives and we have to release our dogs back to the streets, it would most certainly be the day in which I would mentally collapse... I feel lost, very stressed out. Hope is the only thing that keeps me on the track."

3. Abandoned in a field with her 3 babies, Iulia and her babies' recovery depends on Maria's ability to find with kibbles...

###

"Iulia is a 2 year-old female, she was abandoned in a field, along with her 3 puppies. She has been with us for 3 weeks now. She has a skin condition, called Demodex.

Both her and her puppies are being treated for that. They are getting better, but any lack of food would jeopardize their recovery."

4. Already heavily in debt, Maria feels alone in her fight and cannot continue to buy kibbles.

###

"We've only received food from one person recently, this donation was enough to feed the dogs for one day and a half. Apart from that, donations have dropped..."

We have a debt of approximately 1600 euros for veterinary services. We lack funds, food, and hands...Coping with everything is very hard right now, especially because Ferenc is sick and he can't help me at this point.

I am really scared about the future. During the last few weeks I was on constant alert due to my husband's condition and the shelter. And now, I am beginning to realize that I am on my own to care for 275 dogs, that Ferenc will not be able to help me out with the shelter anymore...I do not  know how I will manage. I just hope that one day everything will be ok."

5. Maria is not asking for money, only kibbles to keep the dogs from starving.

###

"I've been devoted to animals ever since I was a child. Even then, I tried to help all sorts of animals, starting with dogs and cats, birds, hedgehogs... And all sorts of other animals.

Ferenc and I started rescuing animals together a long time ago and in 2017, we opened the shelter and became official.

Since then, we have been struggling to maintain the shelter, but even if things are very difficult, at the end of the day, we are glad that all of our dogs are safe and healthy."

6. If this campaign is successful, Maria will not receive any money but 3000 kg of kibble will be delivered from the Animal Webaction logistic platform in Romania.

Animal Webaction has a logistic platform in Romania, which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibbles.

7. Maria is facing new difficulties everyday and desperatly needs help to feed her dogs!

"Generally, the number of abandoned dogs in Salonta has increased. We have been seeing many new dogs and most of them seem to be disoriented.

People here do not like seeing dogs on the streets, but even so, they do not try to help us. Many dogs are harmed by these people out of fear or just spite...

Some people are just not willing to help and the ones who are probably don't have the financial means to do so, or have other issues to deal with right now.

We collect what we can from supermarkets and other places, but Animal Webaction remains our biggest source of help when it comes to food. Without this help, we don't know how we would cope..."

8. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail.

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the collected products, the beneficiary receives nothing and the buyers are refunded.

9. In Romania, it is difficult to find funds for kibbles, there are no aid, no grants, no foundation... Many abandoned dogs die alone in the streets, in complete indifference...
