Yugo was thrown into the harbor where he swam for five hours, injured, before being rescued...

1. He was beaten and thrown into the water!

In Reunion Island, Yugo was beaten and strangled by his owner, who threw him into the harbour because he was fed up with him.

He stayed in the water for 5 hours, swimming as hard as he could, while the tips of his legs were broken and his neck was almost broken.

2. His rescue went very badly...

After a while, Yugo was spotted by a fireman, who didn't know that Yugo was injured. To pull him out of the water, the firemen used a lasso that they passed around Yugo's neck...

The poor guy was in terrible pain! He tried to defend himself and was immediately sent to the pound to be euthanized... Luckily, we were able to get him out of there in time! Since then, he's a shadow of his former self and has to take antidepressants...

3. He can't chew

Because of his injuries, Yugo ca no longer bite. He even has to eat lying down. He looks ok, but he's not doing well at all...

4. Some canned food would bring him comfort

With canned food, Yugo could eat without having to chew. This food would be a real comfort to him after all he's been through!

5. We're stuck in a bad place!

We only take in sick and/or abused old dogs that need care and lots of love.

But we can no longer get food from the collections, and we have almost no more donations. Our stocks are dry... We have to be quick, a hundred dogs are counting on us!
