1. Without kibble, 200 free cats from the Pyrenees risk dying of hunger!

"In addition to about 50 old and sick cats who are convalescing in a room made for this purpose, our association is in charge of feeding 200 street cats. More and more numerous, these tomcats are spread out on 6 different sites around Amélie-les-Bains.

Unfortunately, we don't have enough kibble to feed them all and will be forced to leave some sites without food... Soon, we will have nothing left! It's terrible, the cats won't be able to last until spring if we don't find a solution!"

2. Without the association, the most vulnerable cats won't survive the winter...

"Rouroux is a free cat who lived in a parking lot. Lately, he was not doing well at all and wasn't eating. The poor guy had to be hospitalized for two days: he had a polyp in his ear canal and a huge gingivitis!

The vet operated on his ear and had to remove a tooth that caused a very painful inflammation. He is now in convalescence, and will soon have to be put back on site. But he is still fragile and we are worried: what will happen to him if we don't have any more kibble to give him? "

3. The expenses are titanic and the association's revenues are in very big decline.

"Because of Covid, the store where we used to sell donated items had to be closed for 5 months in 2020. The loss of income is huge: this store brought us an average of €2,000 per month (all the profits being donated to the association). So we had to make do with 10 000€ less... But our expenses have only kept increasing since last year!

Since the reopening of the store, people have less means and we make much less sales. Besides that, the veterinary fees are titanic: 20 000€ for the year 2020, and 2 000€ just since January 2021! We are really struggling to get by... "

4. Brigitte isn't asking for money, only kibble to feed the cats!

"I had a cat when I was 20 years old and since then, my passion for felines has never left me. I am retired and I devote most of my time to animals: I take care of sick and old cats, I go out in the field, I am an activist.

But the current situation is unprecedented, and we are not serene for the future of the cats who rely on us..."
