Handicapped and ill, Gommette is faced with a very difficult daily life!

1. A disease is causing her difficulties with eating...

Gommette is a three-year-old cat who caught a calicivirus, a very contagious disease in felines. The poor girl has watery eyes, a stuffy nose, she sneezes, and has lost her appetite.

She also has pus in her mouth. She was in so much pain that the vet had to pull teeth to relieve her! Since then, Gommette has had difficulty chewing...

2. An inner-ear disorder prevents her from walking normally!

Before we took her in, Gommette had ear infections that were not treated. Because of this, her inner ear has been impacted and Gommette cannot walk straight. This is a big handicap for her on a daily basis!

3. Canned food would make it easier for her to regain her strength

Easy to ingest, canned food would help Gommette get her strength back without having to chew too much. Such a source of energy would be invaluable to her!

4. There are less and less adoptions!

As Normandy is reconfined, people are reluctant to adopt a cat. At the same time, the number of sick cats is rising exponentially, and the veterinary bills keep piling up!

To cope with this, we are going to try to organise collections in the shops, but with the new measures, we are not sure that it will work...
