Sissi is a little kitten, barely one month old, that we took in a week ago. Some workers found her in a warehouse located on an industrial area, to which we do not have access.
Unfortunately, her mother had left her there and never came back... We have been bottle-feeding her since then, and are starting to give her some food as supplement.
When she arrived, Sissi's nose was covered in scabs and her eyes were all stuck together... typical symptoms of coryza.
We therefore took her to the vet, who prescribed a cream to clean her eyes. We also had her dewormed and her ears disinfected at this occasion.
With canned food, Sissi would have something to gradually build up her strength when it's time to put the bottles away. Such a diet will be important to help her continue to grow, despite her illness.
Now, in early spring, kittens are starting to pour in from all over! Many need medical care, some are not weaned and need to be bottle-fed... this requires time and elevated financial means!
