Damaged feet, reduced weight, debilitation… Maya lived in seclusion for a long time!

1. She was left without care for a long time...

Maya is a 24-year-old Shetland pony. Her elderly owner could no longer take care of her and was no longer looking after her. As a consequence, she was in a very bad state when we took her in.

In addition to being depressed due to isolation, her feet were long and damaged and she had not been de-wormed for a long while.

2. She was very skinny!

Due to the lack of sufficient and adapted food, Maya was particularly skinny when she arrived. However, at her age, it is very crucial that she does not lose too much weight.

3. Pellets will help her gain weight

With vitamin-rich pellets, Maya would benefit from adapted supplementation. She could gradually gain weight and stabilise at a more secure weight for her age.

4. We are overwhelmed with requests for care!

Not a day goes by without a request for care. The situation is more and more complicated as we fight to feed all our horses. We hope that the regular rains will improve the quality of the hay... But a little help would go a long way!
