Extreme thinness, damaged feet, ringworm… R Bus was wasting away!

1. He was almost abandoned...

R Bus is a 15-year-old draught horse who had been placed with some individuals who were letting him die. When we took him in, he was in very bad shape: he had ringworm and his feet were very damaged. The veterinary costs to treat him were staggering!

2. He was very skinny!

Due to a lack of sufficient and adapted food, R Bus was particularly skinny when he arrived. He must have been missing almost 200 kg! If he doesn't regain a normal weight quickly, he will be exposed to serious health problems (arthritis, anaemia, etc.).

3. Pellets would help him to regain weight

With vitamin-rich pellets, R Bus would finally benefit from a supplementation adapted to his size. He could gradually regain weight and stabilise at a normal weight.

4. We are overwhelmed with requests for care!

Not a day goes by without a request for care. The situation is more and more complicated as we fight to feed all our horses. We hope that the regular rains will improve the quality of the hay... But a little help would go a long way!
