Skeletal, Quismie was going to be euthanized!
Mirabelle is an 11-year-old cat whose kidneys are not working properly anymore. Her body no longer eliminates toxins well enough, which has caused her to lose weight...
In addition to her kidney problems, Mirabelle kept getting urinary stones: small clots were forming and obstructing her urethra, putting her life in danger. The veterinarian operated on her to widen her urinary tract and therefore prevent recurrence.
Mirabelle has a safe place to live where she feels comfortable, however we would also like to be able to provide her with blankets so that she doesn't have to sleep on the floor anymore. Blankets would be of great comfort in her old age!
With Covid, we have been facing a sharp drop in donations. Still, the 130 cats who rely on us need care, food and blankets... and we won't be able to help them on our own!
