Shisui is a cat who changed homes several times.
His previous owners would barely ever let him come inside to begin with, and eventually decided to kick him out completely.. Then a fosterer picked him up, looked after him and we took him in a year later.
By the time we took Shisui in, he had unfortunately caught feline AIDS. This disease started to destroy his immune system, making him less protected against infections.
When we took him in, he had a veil over his eyes, with an abscess on his right eye. The vet doesn't know yet if we will have to enucleate him or if it will eventually resolve...
We don't know if it's directly related, but Shisui has recently been having generalized epileptic seizures: he loses consciousness, falls down, and then his whole body starts shaking very hard. We're afraid that if he faints again, he'll hurt himself!
Blankets would allow us to keep Shisui's environment safe, so he wouldn't get hurt if he fell. They would also give him a comfortable place to rest after each seizure.
We have recently taken in many cats, who have needed very expensive veterinary care. With kitten season starting, we are afraid we won't have enough money to buy food for the cats in need...
