Anemia, ulcers, thinness and dehydration: Hope won't make it without help!

1. He was outside, in a pitiful state...

Hope is an old cat, about 10 years old, that we found in the street. The poor thing was very skinny, and completely dehydrated. He was even missing some hair in some places.

So he was hospitalized for a few days. His blood tests showed that he was anemic, which explains why he was in such bad shape. He is now in convalescence...

2. He has trouble eating because of an ulcer in his mouth!

Hope unfortunately has an ulcer on his tongue. It is so painful that he has a lot of trouble eating solid food, like kibble.

So we give him cortisone tablets for the pain. But he has difficulty taking those as well....

3. Canned food would give him the nutrients he needs

Easy-to-ingest canned food would allow Hope to eat again without being in too much pain and allow him to take his medication. It would help him regain his strength and hopefully get back on his feet.

4. The amount of cats in care is beyond our means!

Our situation is very complicated at the moment... We have many new rescues and our donations are decreasing. The sick cats and kittens are very numerous, but we don't have a sufficient budget to help them all as we would like!
