1. A disease prevents him from chewing his food...

Mickey is around 8 years old and suffers from a chronic calicivirus. His gums are very sore, red and inflamed. Because of this, he can no longer chew his food!

We have to take him regularly to the vet to get an injection, otherwise he is in too much pain...

2. Canned food would give him back his strength, without having to chew

With canned food, Mickey would be able to eat again without being in too much pain, since he wouldn't need to chew. This would be an opportunity for him to regain his strength and feel better, despite his illness.
