Sick and separated from her mother, little Selassi almost died of coryza!

1. She was dumped in a garden when she was just a newborn!

Selassi is a 3 week-old-kitten who was barely 3 days old when she was abandoned (she still had her umbilical cord on). The poor girl was dumped in a garden! One of her brothers was injured and did not survive this violent abandonment...

2. Coryza almost killed her...

Once we had taken her in, Selassi started to show all the symptoms of severe coryza. Her eyes were all watery so we started to give her some treatment to relieve her. But recently, we almost lost her anyway: she was letting herself die!

We stayed at her side all night and gave her light medication. She fought back and she seems to be doing better today even though she is still more fragile than her siblings.

3. With blankets, she could sleep warm

Still very vulnerable, Selassi will need warmth and comfort to recover. In the absence of her mother, blankets would help her to avoid catching a cold and to sleep comfortably.

4. Kittens need us!

We have taken in several kittens recently. Unfortunately, our association's budget does not allow us to help them as much as they need... So we appeal to you. They are so vulnerable, we can't leave them on their own!
