Purulent nose, sinus pain, sneezing: poor Iris has a severe case of cat flu!

1. She's not doing well...

Iris is an eight-year-old cat who, unfortunately, is suffering from a severe case of cat flu. The illness has become chronic, affecting her sinuses and mouth. Her nose is full of pus, and she sneezes and drools excessively!

We're currently giving her a treatment consisting of antibiotics and cortisone mixed into her food, in a bid to provide some relief.

2. Her kidneys aren't working properly!

Poor Iris is also suffering from kidney failure. Her urea and creatinine levels are higher than normal, which means her body's strength is depleted. She has significantly lost weight recently!

3. She lives outside...

Extremely fearful, Iris cannot endure being indoors. Therefore, she spends all her time outside, even when it rains! With the return of cold and damp conditions, we are becoming increasingly worried about her...

4. A bundle of blankets will keep her warm

Fleece blankets would be perfect for helping Iris stay warm this autumn. Not having to sleep directly on the damp, dirty ground would provide her with great comfort and allow her some precious rest.

5. Winter is drawing near and we're concerned...

Despite all our efforts, our donations from supermarket collections are scarce. The organisation is therefore starting to run low on food for those in its care...

With winter approaching, we also need blankets and cat houses. Without these, our felines may not survive!
