1. He has been abused in many ways!

Harry is a 12 year old jack russell, who has been through 7 different families. He was mistreated by a hunter, then abandoned. He was even locked up on a balcony for 6 months, because his owners didn't know how to take care of him after all he had been through!

2. He kept psychological after-effects...

Traumatized, Harry can become dangerous and bite when he hears a noise like a ringing phone or a doorbell.

With the help of a behaviorist, we are in the process of deprogramming everything he has learned that has traumatized him. We also do energy healing, to help him feel better.

3. He has osteoarthritis from the beatings he received!

Harry's paws were fractured by the different blows he received. His joints are more and more inflamed and need to be treated.

4. Canned food would allow him to take his medication without difficulty

With proper wet canned food, Harry could take his osteoarthritis medication without any problems. It would also give him a chance to regain his confidence, seeing that some human beings are caring and give him good food.

5. Taking care of elderly animals is very expensive...

We take care of 107 dogs and 26 cats. Many of the animals we take in come from abroad, from the street or from individuals. There are many requests, but we give priority to sick and elderly animals.

Most of them have suffered all their lives... so we want to bring them comfort and allow them to eat their fill. But all this has a cost: 50 000 euros of veterinary expenses last year alone!
