Very sick, Bijoux could never grow up normally because of inbreeding...

1. She could not grow up normally because of inbreeding...

Bijoux is a cat of about 7 years old, who was taken out of an apartment where there were about 50 cats who reproduced between them.

Because of this inbreeding, Bijoux has had a huge growth delay from the beginning of her life: she has the size and weight of a kitten (2,5 kg), whereas she is an adult!

2. She is so sick that she needs a heat lamp...

Bijoux has a chronic coryza, because of which her nose runs very strongly. She is so weak and cold because of the disease, that she needs regular inhalations and a heat lamp to get to sleep!

3. With blankets, she would be warm

With fleece blankets, Bijoux would be warm all day. By helping her retain her body heat, the blankets would be a great help to her, and would bring her lots of comfort!

4. Our scope of action is limited by our small budget!

Our association currently takes care of about 50 free cats. As we are a very small structure, we have very few means.

Most of the cats have severe and chronic pathologies, and many are not adoptable. To take care of them represents big veterinary expenses, that we have a lot of difficulty to pay without cutting down on the budget for food and blankets...
