Rejected by her mother at birth, Madrina was dying without anyone doing anything!

1. Rejected by her mother, she was abandoned...

Madrina is a one-month-old filly, that her mother rejected at birth. Her mother was malnourished, and could not feed her. The owner did nothing, and let the filly agonize for two days... Fortunately, we were able to take care of her before she died.

2. Madrina was at the end of her rope and had to be hospitalized!

Considerably weakened and malnourished, Madrina was hospitalized for 3 days. She received a plasma transplant (to boost her immune system), and then we bottle-fed her.

3. Pellets would allow her to continue growing

Within a month, Madrina will need a consistent diet in addition to milk. With complete and vitaminized pellets, she will be able to fill up with energy and get stronger. After all she has been through, it is the least we can do for her...

4. The return of the drought may put us in trouble...

Currently, we have 18 animals to manage. This may not seem like much, but their food needs are substantial. With summer, the grass may be lacking. We will then need pellets to keep the horses going!
