Immune vulnerable, Taz had a big gingivitis...

1. He is suffering from a disease which weakens him...

Taz is an 8 year old cat, who was found by the SPA, who then entrusted him to us. Unfortunately, he tested positive for FIV. This disease, when it occurs, is called the feline AIDS : it destroys the immune defenses of the animal, making it very fragile to viruses and infections.

2. He had a big inflammation and abscesses in his mouth!

Taz had a huge gingivitis and several abscesses in his mouth. His gums were so inflamed that we even had to remove several teeth!

3. Canned food would give him strength

In order to eat without pain, Taz will need a soft, moist diet. With canned food, he could get his energy back, despite the loss of some teeth. He would then be in better shape, and less likely to get worse at any time.

4. Veterinary expenses are huge!

This year we had to cover some huge veterinary bills. On top of that, there are more and more rescues. With the crisis, people are finding it difficult to take care of their animals financially.

At the moment, we have about 20 cats in foster care, as well as 80 free cats to manage. Your help would be precious for the future...
