Animal Webaction
This campaign has failed... SOS street dogs Serbia hasn't received anything. Why?

It is always a huge disappointment to see a campaign fail, it means that the concerned animals will not receive any help. Unfortunately, we can not ship incomplete campaigns.

When a campaign fails, why can't you at least deliver what has been collected ?

We want to maximize the help we are all bringing to the animals in distress. Our campaign goals are calculated to balance our storage, delivery and manufacturing costs of the offered products.

Delivering failed campaigns would generate too many costs, which would eventually lead to the bankruptcy of the website and leave all the animals that we could have helped alone...

The delivery of unfinished campaigns is also physically impossible for some products (if only 50% of a kennel is financed: we can not cut it in half).

Why can't you at least transfer the collected money to the association ?

Our activity is regulated by the french tax law, it forbides us to transfer money instead of the advertised product (article L 548-1 of the Monetary and Financial Code).

For this reason, when a campaign fails, donations are immediately refunded. If they want to, donors can send this money directly to the association.

If you can't transfer the collected money to the association, why don't you just send it to another one ?

Our activity is regulated by the french tax law, it forbides us to use the money for anything else than the original use announced in the campaign (article L 548-1).

So, unfortunately, we are not allowed to transfer donations from a campaign to another.

What happens to the free clicks assigned to a failed campaign?

Free clicks are saved before being reallocated to other campaigns (free clicks being immaterial, they are not submited to the same obligations than financial donations).

1. In Serbia, Ivana and Ana will soon run out of kibble to feed the 139 dogs they care for in their shelters and on the streets. They will starve if no one intervenes!

"We've hit a rough patch. With only enough kibble to last two more days, it's become painfully hard. The atmosphere at the shelter is very tense. Fights have started breaking out amongst the dogs, and it’s not just them. On the streets, too, the dogs are fighting, driven by their hunger. The worst part is, it's not just about the hunger anymore. Malnutrition is evident in many of the street dogs, their ribs showing, their fur losing its sheen. More and more of them are falling sick, and it terrifies us. The situation is escalating, and with every passing day, more dogs need our help.

We're at a tipping point. The increasing drop in our kibble stock keeps us up at night, and the very thought of these hungry dogs is gut-wrenching for us. We can't stand the idea of seeing them starve, and the fear is becoming all too real. Our hopes for this campaign are sky high! We really hope people will come together, so we can get through this for the sake of all the dogs who depend on us...

2. At the shelters as in the streets, the dogs are weakening, fighting and illnesses are rampant... Ivana and Ana fear the worst if they don't get kibble!

###

"We've noticed the fights among the dogs becoming more frequent. Hunger makes them more aggressive, more desperate. Street dogs have it even harder. Every time we see one, we can't help but notice how much weight they're shedding. Without proper nutrition, diseases can spread like wildfire among them, worsening their already fragile health condition. It’s agonizing, seeing them suffer, their bones more prominent every passing day. The lack of kibble could also make them wander further away and put them in even more dangerous situations out there on the streets.

The weight on our shoulders grows heavier by the day. Just the thought that the dogs in our care don't have enough kibble to eat is enough to bring us to the brink of tears. There are times when the despair is overwhelming: weight loss, malnutrition, weakened immunity... All because of a shortage of something as simple as kibble. It's really heartbreaking. We can't get rid of this worry: we're about to run out of kibble and our dogs are in danger of starving to death...".

3. Repeated attempts to obtain kibble have all failed... Ivana and Ana are in debt and can only count on this campaign to feed the dogs!

###

"The last few days have been a real marathon. We've contacted every supplier we know, hoping to secure more kibble for our dogs. And it's not just our usual suppliers; we've been exploring new avenues, praying to find an affordable option somewhere. The hours seem to evaporate as we search endlessly for alternative food sources. But kibble is the best for our dogs, and seeing the stock dwindle meal by meal... it's terribly scary.

And then there's the debt. What we owe the vet and suppliers is like a heavy burden we carry all day long. But even with that looming over our heads, we can't afford to stop. We're constantly on the phone, negotiating, haggling, trying to reach an agreement. Sometimes it feels as if we're constantly bumping up against obstacles, as if every effort is in vain. Every time we hand out smaller portions of kibble, the shadow of impending crisis grows larger, reminding us how close we are to breaking down...

The dogs watch us with such confidence, their eyes hungry and hopeful... it breaks our hearts. We really are doing everything we can to maximize our current stock, to make every kibble count. But no matter how hard we try, the kibble can't stretch any further. We give everything we've got, but sometimes it feels like it'll never be enough..."

4. Ivana and Ana aren't asking for money, only kibble to prevent the dogs from starving.

###

"Kibble, to us, is more than just food – it’s what keeps our dogs healthy and it's the lifeblood of everything we've built with this rescue mission. For the street dogs, each portion of kibble we hand out, it's like a beacon. It's not just about nourishment; it's a sign that someone cares. But our hearts ache with the realization that, without kibble, our mission, our entire purpose of saving and nurturing these dogs, is at stake.

We've always dreamt of a shelter buzzing with the energy of well-fed, happy dogs. Dogs that wag their tails and play joyfully. But that dream all hinges on kibble. Right now, it feels like our hands are tied. We want to rescue more, to give them shelter and love, but without kibble, even that becomes so much tougher. Every single day revolves around this challenge, and it's draining. But we keep hoping, keep pushing, for the sake of these dogs that have become our world."

5. Alone in their fight to save the dogs in their region, Ivana and Ana's unwavering commitment is now seriously jeopardized by the lack of kibble.

###

"Many friends and even family, sometimes, they just don't get the depth of it – why we do what we do, why we're so committed. For us, it's not just a task or duty; caring for these animals is our life's calling. We can't just stand by and watch when we see any form of animal suffering, our heart and mind just won't let us. There are moments when it feels like the whole world is turning a blind eye, going on with their lives while we're knee-deep in this mission...

But then, there are moments, fleeting yet profound, when we look into the eyes of these dogs, and we see hope. Pure, unwavering hope. It's those moments that keep us going, pushing through the odds, no matter how stacked they are against us. It reminds us why we started all of this in the first place. It’s not just about feeding them or finding them homes; it's about restoring their faith in humanity, bit by bit. They deserve better, and we're here to make sure they get it."

6. If this campaign succeeds, Ivana and Ana will not receive any money, but 1600 kg of kibble, delivered from the Animal Webaction logistics centre in Serbia.

Animal Webaction has a logistics platform directly in Serbia, which enables us to intervene quickly and deliver kibble.

7. Campaigns launched on Animal Webaction often fail.
