1. Her kidneys are not functioning very well!

Lou is a 16-year-old female cat with severe kidney failure. She drinks a lot and has lost a tremendous amount of weight. She even had to be put on intravenous fluids for a while... She now needs to take medication.

2. Canned food would help stabilize her

A diet tailored for cats with kidney failure would help preserve Lou's health. Low in phosphorus and grain-free, this type of canned food would greatly relieve her kidneys while allowing her to regain weight.

3. The majority of the animals in the association are very old...

The animals we take care of are mostly elderly. With the intense heat of this summer, it has been challenging for them... I have spent my time nursing them and taking them to the vet! Suitable nutrition would be very beneficial in rebuilding their strength.
