1. In France, Monique has run out of kibble to feed the 500 street cats who rely on her... The poor things are in danger of starving to death!

"Given the current economic climate, feeding 500 free-roaming cats at around 50 sites has become a very complicated mission. For lack of stock, we've had to buy low-quality kibble by the drop for three weeks now.

Because the food is of poorer quality, the cats fall ill more easily and are more fragile. If we don't find a solution soon, we won't be able to care for them or feed them! With winter upon us, the poor things won't survive...".

2. Reduced resources, debts, price rises: the association finds itself at an impasse!

"The aid we receive from the region has fallen by 2,000 euros compared with last year. That's a lot less money to feed and care for the cats... at a time when prices are rising all the time! Caring for sick cats at a time when veterinary prices have doubled has taken a heavy toll on our budget.

With the price of cans and kibbles also rising and never coming down, the association can no longer afford to cope! Donations have also fallen, as have the quantity and quality of the products collected during the rare shopping-cart operations we've been able to carry out. Since covid, the situation has only deteriorated!"

3. Affected by severe skin problems, Noirette is very weak... kibbles are vital for her!

"Noirette is a four-year-old cat living on the streets. She unfortunately suffers from skin problems, aggravated by the cold and the low-quality, insufficiently nutritious food we give her. Bloody patches come and go on her back and head, causing exhausting itching...

As she won't let us take her to the vet, we give her a treatment in her food. If we run out of kibble for her this winter, she won't be able to regain her strength and benefit from her medication... Already emaciated and very weak, she won't survive it!"

4. Monique isn't asking for money, she just needs kibble to prevent street cats from starving.

"The association needs this campaign to succeed, to help the cats survive the winter. I've been taking care of them for 21 years now, and I still feel so sorry for all those cats that nobody wants. I don't go on vacation, I don't go out... But I've never known a period as difficult as this one!

We're more and more worried about the future, because the debts are piling up. The association's volunteers are all elderly and have small pensions... Who will look after the cats when we're no longer here?"
