1. In France, Jocelyne has almost run out of kibble to feed the 200 free cats in her care... The poor things risk starving to death!

"Our association is facing an increasingly critical situation. With a team of volunteers, we look after 200 street cats. Recently, the increase in abandonment and inflation has made feeding these free cats a colossal challenge. Donations are becoming scarce, while the need is growing all the time!

We are now at the point where our reserves of kibble may not last more than a week. We have to manage 15 feeding sites, and the reality is alarming: many of these cats are starting to show signs of advanced malnutrition. For the last two months, we've been rationing the kibble, only being able to feed them every other day. Soon, this could even be reduced to one day in three...

With the return of the extreme cold, the situation has become even more desperate. If cats can't eat enough to keep warm, the risk of them dying of hypothermia and starvation increases dramatically. Every day without kibble is one day too many for these vulnerable cats! Our priority is to protect them, but without outside help to replenish our stock of kibble, the survival of these cats is seriously threatened!"

2. With the cold and the difficult living conditions, epidemics are multiplying... all the money has gone into care, the association has nothing left to buy kibble!

"Our association has only been in existence for a year and a half. In recent months, the challenges have multiplied: many cats and kittens have been abandoned, many of them unsterilised. Financial support, essential to our work, has become increasingly scarce. As for memberships, they have dropped considerably, and donations are almost non-existent!

We had to contend with multiple epidemics - typhus, ringworm, coryza - despite vaccinating the cats. The costs of treatment, hospitalisation and, sadly, several deaths have exhausted our meagre resources. More than fifteen cats are still sick, and around twenty cats aged around five or six months are still roaming the streets...

Our attempts at online fundraising have met with little success, and we were unable to organise our usual shopping trolley operation in December. Life is expensive, and people's generosity is dwindling because of the current economic climate. Faced with this precarious situation, we fear for the future of the free cats that depend on our help! Without kibble and support, their survival is at stake, and our mission to protect them is seriously compromised... "

3. Ill and visually impaired, poor White won't survive without kibble!

"White is a street cat of around ten years who lives with chronic coryza. Despite treatment, he suffers from sneezing and severe conjunctivitis. As his eyes are red and often half closed, his vision is impaired.

It's a real handicap for him in the street! Without kibbles, he won't be able to find food on his own and will end up starving to death...".

4. Jocelyne isn't asking for money, she just needs kibble to prevent street cats from starving to death.

"Despite my retirement, I devote around ten hours a week to work, an effort that is necessary to support the 200 street cats that our association strives to feed and care for. However, my declining health will soon no longer allow me to do this, which will make our financial situation even more precarious. The association's volunteers are often single women of limited means, who face similar challenges...

We are also confronted with a difficult reality: the indifference and even malice of some people towards our actions. This external hostility adds another layer of complexity to our already difficult mission. Our appeal is therefore a cry from the heart: without help for these cats that depend on our support, the association will have to close its doors!"
