Malnourished and chained up, poor Yuki ended up in a state of morbid obesity!

1. He lived in harsh conditions…

Yuki is a 15-year-old dog, who spent his life chained in a shed on the island of Reunion. His only food was rice, which quickly led to him being overweight!

2. He has thyroid problems!

When his hypothyroidism developed, Yuki became morbidly obese. Thus, we are providing him with treatment to help stabilise his condition. But as time went on, he became incontinent…

3. Canned food will help him regain healthy energy

The tender and moist texture of canned food would make it easier for Yuki to take his medication.

Such quality food would also help regulate his weight while providing the nutrients he needs. After everything he's been through, such comforting food would do him a world of good!

4. The year ends as badly as it began…

As the year draws to a close, our challenges are mounting: successive cold waves, a lack of donations, almost futile shopping trolley operations... We’ve reached a point where we don't know if we can continue!

However, we must continue, as we have taken in new animals from other associations that have closed their doors. We cannot let down the 97 dogs who need us!
