Romeo is a five-year-old feral cat with calicivirus. His gums are inflamed and he has ulcers at the back of his throat. Eating has become very difficult for him!
Wet food like canned food would allow Romeo to continue to energise, despite the inflammation in his mouth. It would also be a good way for him to take his medication, which would relieve his symptoms.
Romeo lives outdoors. Being exposed to the elements weakens him a little more each day! Given his health problems, we're worried about him, and fear that he may not make it through the winter without shelter...
With a cat house, Romeo could take shelter in severe cold and inclement weather. He would no longer be forced to sleep on the ground in all weather conditions, and could recover more easily.
