Pimpin is a cat suffering from calicivirus. The disease is causing growths in his mouth and throat, to the extent that he's choking when trying to eat dry food... We have a tablet treatment for him, but even when cut into four, he struggles to swallow them!
Wet food would be a more suitable option for Pimpin than dry food. In addition to providing him with essential nutrients, such a diet would make it easier for him to take his medicine. It would also be a good way for him to stay hydrated.
