Injured and with an amputated paw, Chéri was abandoned by the people who were supposed to adopt him...

1. His prospective owners withdrew their offer of a home when he lost a leg!

Chéri is a 13-year-old feral cat. He was sociable and ready to be adopted, but tragically, he was hit by a car before the process could be completed. The vet was forced to amputate one of his front legs. This led to his potential adopters backing out...

2. He lives outside, despite his disability...

Since the accident, Chéri still lives outdoors, in a secure area. There are a few shelters on site, but not enough for all the cats...

Life is incredibly difficult for Chéri, considering his disability. Running, jumping, finding shelter: everything is a struggle!

3. A cat house would provide him easy shelter

A cat house would provide easy-access shelter for Chéri, despite his disability. He could take refuge in it to be safe from bad weather. It would be a significant relief for him!

4. The costs are astronomical!

Our association, based in Dordogne, France, has been active for 32 years, and we are involved in many local communities. Just in 2024, we neutered over 1,200 street tomcats and found homes for 300 kittens!

Sadly, times are tough: given the economic crisis, every end of month is increasingly challenging. Our food stocks are constantly teetering on the brink... To feed approximately 8,000 feral cats requires an immense budget!
