Frisette is an approximately three-year-old Ouessant ewe that we took in after a reported case. Poor Frisette was lacking water, food and care when she was pregnant! Moreover, she was infested with parasites...
Because she had not been sheared for a long time, her wool was very thick. Extensive veterinary treatments were necessary. She gave birth, but Frisette remains thin and malnourished. Thus, we have to supplement her lamb as she doesn’t have much milk...
A diet rich in minerals would be ideal to assist Frisette to rejuvenate. Eating to her fill each day would allow her to regain strength and to produce richer milk. It would be a real relief for her and her lamb!
The start of 2025 has been very challenging for our association. We have carried out many new rescues, which have been significantly costly.
In addition to dogs and cats, we now take in farm animals. No fewer than 11 ewes have arrived, some of which are currently pregnant!
