Skin disease, infectious disease: Ondine lives outside, even though she has a very fragile health!

1. She has a skin condition…

Ondine is a female cat about 10 years old who suffers from feline eosinophilic granuloma. This dermatological syndrome causes her a lesion, along with severe itching around her lip. It's exhausting for her!

2. She carries a severe disease…

Sadly, Ondine has contracted feline infectious peritonitis. Due to this disease, her belly is significantly swollen. Her health could also deteriorate at any time! Therefore, we have to oversee her closely.

3. She lives outdoors…

Ondine is so wild that she can't tolerate an indoor lifestyle. Hence, we've placed her in the open countryside at a safely secured site. But there's no shelter available there! Already frail, she risks not lasting much longer in these conditions.

4. Blankets would offer her more restorative rest

Given her health issues, Ondine needs rest. Equipped with blankets, she would no longer have to sleep on the dirty and sometimes damp ground. The benefit of a little softness and comfort would aid her proper recovery, placing her in a circle of wellness.

5. More and more associations are closing… we ourselves are in great distress!

The association is increasingly having a rough time – with 250 cats to manage, a virtually nonexistent budget, and very minimal donations, it's becoming quite challenging to cope!

Already, three organisations have shut down in Béziers… If this continues, we won't have any other option but to follow the same path!
