Fever, damaged eye, blocked nose: little Alaska has a very severe case of cat flu!

1. He's very ill...

Alaska is a two-month-old kitten, who has a particularly severe case of cat flu. He's had high fever, he's coughing, his nose is blocked and his eyes are very watery. We are therefore putting tablets in his food to soothe his symptoms.

2. He is struggling to eat!

Alaska also has calicivirus. The ulcers on his tongue and inflammation in his mouth are causing him difficulty with eating. As a result, he has significant growth issues.

3. With blankets, he could be warm and comfy to rest

For a kitten to grow normally, it needs a lot of sleep. With blankets, Alaska would be comfortably set up to sleep, which would help him recover more effectively. Come autumn, it would also be easier for him to maintain his body temperature.

4. Between street cats and kittens, we are overloaded!

Since the end of May 2025, we have taken in 60 kittens, often in critical conditions. It's a real disaster! We also still have lots of free-living cats to feed and care for... it's too much for our meagre budget!
