Feverish, sick and infested with parasites, poor Rubis is very weak...

1. He arrived sick and infested…

Rubis is a kitten merely a month old who was abandoned when he was only 20 days old. As he was covered in fleas and filled with worms, we had him dewormed. Unfortunately, he is suffering from cat flu: his nose is runny, his eyes are all stuck together, and he has a fever.

2. He'll soon have to be released outdoors!

For now, we're bottle-feeding Rubis indoors. But given the number of our proteges, we can't keep him forever in our premises, and will have to release him onto the association's grounds as soon as winter passes. Once outside, he'll no longer have anywhere to take shelter...

3. Blankets would keep him warm this winter

A set of blankets would be perfect for Rubis. Helping him maintain his body heat more efficiently, some throws would allow him to focus his energy on recovery. He could thus gradually strengthen to be in better shape by spring.

4. It's a nightmare!

We've never seen so many abandonments since our association was founded. This year, there are notably a lot of kittens, many of which have cat flu and are living outdoors, with nowhere else to go.

Treating and feeding them represents a colossal budget! Unfortunately, we don't have space to accommodate them, and not enough budget to offer them blankets and cat houses...
