Damaged teeth, arthritis, thinness, poor Néli lives outdoors, even though she is very old!

1. Age has not been kind to her…

Neli is a 17-year-old cat who was left at her front door when her owner was moved into a residential care home.

She suffers from arthritis and can no longer jump. Her teeth are severely damaged meaning she struggles to chew and has lost a significant amount of weight. Poor Neli weighs only 1.2 kg now!

2. She lives outside!

As she is older, no one wants to adopt Neli. Consequently, she survives near her old home, taking shelter in a hedge whenever it rains. This is no life for a cat as old and vulnerable as she is!

3. Blankets would keep her warm this winter

A set of blankets would be perfect for Neli. By helping her to retain her body heat more effectively, the blankets would offer her more recuperative rest. This little bit of comfort and warmth would be much appreciated, especially during these tough times for her.

4. It's a nightmare!

We’ve never seen as many abandonments since the inception of our organisation. This year, we have numerous kittens, many of whom have cat flu and live outside with nowhere to go.

The cost of treating and feeding these kittens is astronomical! Unfortunately, we don't have room to take them in, nor the sufficient budget to provide them with blankets and shelter…
