Weight loss, missing teeth, arthritis: Samsara needs a diet tailored to her age...

1. She has been abused!

Samsara is a 34 year old mare who has suffered from abuse in the past. Between that and her age, she has developed a lot of arthritis. Given that she limps, she struggles to lie down or get up!

2. She struggles to eat.

Over the years, many of Samsara's teeth have come loose. Chewing has become quite nearly impossible for her. This is impacting her overall condition: she's starting to lose strength. And winter certainly doesn’t help...

3. Soaked pellets could help her regain strength

A soft food diet, such as pellets, would be most suitable for Samsara. She would have no trouble swallowing them and could replenish her energy daily. This would be an effective way for her to regain some condition, making winter a bit easier.

4. The relocation was very costly, but we had no choice!

Recently, the association faced major expenses as we had to relocate. Rebuilding the fences was lengthy and costly. We also needed to construct new shelters for the animals. Any help with food would be more welcome than ever!
