Poor Rouxie was wandering outside, in a skeletal state!

1. He was found in a critical condition...

Rouxie is a 6-year-old cat who was abandoned by his owners. He was wandering the countryside in an emaciated state when we found him!

Affected by a heart murmur, he requires treatment twice a day. Despite this, he quickly becomes out of breath. Since he is also FIV positive, he is extremely vulnerable!

2. He struggles to eat...

With age, Rouxie developed dental issues. We had to remove a few of his teeth (the most damaged ones), in order to alleviate his discomfort. Chewing dry food is therefore a challenge for him.

3. He will need canned food to keep him going this winter

A wet diet would be most suitable for Rouxie. Such food would allow him to eat comfortably and regularly. He could then uptake sufficient energy, gain weight and better resist the winter cold.

4. Our food reserves will run out soon!

Our charity cares for around fifty adult cats on a daily basis. While we have neutered and identified them, feeding them proves to be a struggle as our funds are limited. The donations and collections conducted are indeed far from sufficient to cover all the costs…
