Affected by a severe case of cat flu, Noiraud has suffered damage to his eyes and is now partially sighted!

1. His vision isn't very good anymore!

Blackie is a cat of about 10 years old, having had cat flu when he was younger. One of his eyes is all white and the other is pretty damaged. We have given him antibiotics to control the eye infection but his sight remains quite poor.

2. He lives outdoors...

Sadly, Blackie lives outdoors at a feeding site. Poor thing has nowhere else to go and spends a lot of time just lying around.

3. A shelter would provide him with the refuge he needs

With a shelter, Blackie wouldn't have to sleep directly on the ground or under the rain. He could go there to find shelter in bad weather for a more restful sleep. This could help him regain his strength!

4. An epidemic has shaken the already fragile financial balance of our association...

Many of our cats are sick because of a very virulent cat flu epidemic. Between the medical expenses and the cost of the specialised food, we are out of budget! Trying to maintain a group of about sixty cats under these conditions is becoming a challenge...
