Diabetic, Ness depends on care and a suitable diet...

1. He's disabled !

Ness is a nine-year-old cat, who we took in when he was skeletal and much younger. Unfortunately, he is diabetic. So, we've kept him indoors at the shelter, where he receives an insulin injection every morning and evening, in order to maintain his health despite his condition.

2. He needs specialised canned food to keep going

A diet specifically designed for diabetic cats would be ideal for Ness. While helping to stabilise his blood sugar levels, such canned food would provide him with the nutrients he needs on a daily basis. It would be a good way for him to keep fit despite everything.

3. There are few adoptions !

Keeping the shelter afloat is always very difficult. Many of our cats have conditions and disabilities which mean they don't get adopted...

We therefore struggle to feed all our charges, as veterinary costs weigh heavily on our budget !
