Poor Bagherra has lost all her teeth due to a major calicivirus!

1. She can no longer chew!

Bagherra is a 10-year-old cat suffering from a recurring calicivirus. Due to this ailment, all her teeth had to be removed.

Consequently, she is unable to chew dry food. Once a month, she receives injections (antibiotics and cortisone) to prevent mouth ulcers.

2. To sustain herself, she will need easy-to-eat canned food

A moist and appetising diet would be ideal for Bagherra. Canned pâté food would allow her to eat without pain, stay hydrated and maintain a minimum level of energy, despite her handicap.

3. Few adoptions are taking place

Keeping the association afloat is always very tough. Many of our feline friends have medical conditions and disabilities, which mean they do not get adopted...

As such, we are struggling to feed all our charges, as vet costs weigh heavily on our budget!
