Ethan, still a bit of a wildcat, sleeps outside unprotected!

1. He's too timid to live indoors...

Ethan is a 9-year-old cat, born to a feral mother. Despite his rescue and placement in a foster home, he has remained somewhat wild and fearful of going indoors. As such, he has always lived outdoors.

2. He was attacked by a dog

A few months ago, Ethan was bitten by a dog and developed multiple abscesses on his side, which were difficult to treat. He has since gotten better, but this incident significantly weakened him. At his advancing age, he's becoming increasingly vulnerable outside!

3. Blankets would keep him warm

Providing Ethan with blankets would offer him a warm and safe place. It would help him conserve body heat and recover, essential for an older cat living permanently outdoors.

4. The association's income is no longer sufficient…

We look after several long-term foster cats, as they are too ill or too feral to be adopted. We also manage the feeding and care of several identified and neutered community cats. Our only income comes from occasional sales, infrequent pet-sitting duties, and a single sponsorship... Without any grants or adoptions, we are struggling to meet our costs...
